Terms for the free designer

1. The service

Oceantide3D provides a free browser-based tool that helps you prepare personalized keychain and tag designs and download STL or 3MF model files. The designer does not take payment. Any purchase of a physical item occurs separately through the linked Etsy shop and is also subject to the applicable Etsy listing and marketplace terms.

2. Availability and compatibility

The service may change, be interrupted, or become unavailable. We do not guarantee continuous availability or compatibility with every browser, device, printer, slicer, filament, material, or workflow.

3. Review and safe use

You are responsible for reviewing the 2D and 3D previews, print-check messages, dimensions, and downloaded model files before printing or ordering. Digital previews cannot show every surface characteristic of a physical print. If you print the files yourself, you are responsible for slicing choices, printer setup, materials, ventilation, supervision, maintenance, and safe equipment use.

4. Uploaded artwork

Not every PNG, JPG, JPEG, or SVG file can be faithfully converted into printable geometry. Low contrast, small details, compression, transparency, overlapping shapes, unsupported vector effects, or narrow features may change or disappear during preparation. You must inspect the processed preview and final model.

You must own or have permission to use uploaded artwork. You must not submit illegal, infringing, abusive, deceptive, malicious, or privacy-invasive material. You are responsible for copyright, trademark, publicity, privacy, and other rights associated with your text, artwork, and requested product.

5. Downloads and third-party assets

You may use generated STL and 3MF files for personal or commercial projects, provided you have permission to use every name, logo, image, and other item in the design and follow the applicable licence and attribution requirements for built-in assets. You retain rights you already have in your own text and artwork.

Fonts, icons, tracing software, and other third-party assets remain subject to their own licences. Using the designer does not transfer ownership of those assets or grant rights to third-party trademarks, franchises, characters, team marks, school marks, or logos.

6. Save for Etsy

Saving is optional and sends a private production package to hosted storage so Oceantide3D can retrieve the approved version for an Etsy order. Original uploaded image files and raw SVG markup are not included. Unordered saved copies are scheduled for deletion after 10 calendar days using the server-recorded expiry. The O3D design reference alone does not provide public access to the package.

7. Acceptable use

You must not attempt to disrupt or overload the service, bypass access controls, access another person's saved design, introduce malware, probe private storage, or use the service unlawfully. Access may be limited or suspended to protect customers, the service, legal rights, or business operations.

8. Disclaimers and liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the service and generated files are provided on an “as available” and “as is” basis. We do not promise that every image will convert accurately, every file will work with every device, or every design will print successfully. Nothing in these terms excludes warranties, remedies, consumer rights, or liabilities that cannot lawfully be excluded.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Oceantide3D is not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss arising from use of the free designer or customer-operated printing equipment.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Newfoundland and Labrador and applicable federal laws of Canada, subject to mandatory consumer-protection and other rights that apply where you live.
