A simple idea, made printable
Oceantide3D started with a straightforward idea: creating a personalized keychain or bag tag should feel creative and approachable, not like learning engineering software. The new browser-based designer lets you build a design visually while keeping the real printable model in view.
You can personalize text, choose filament colours, browse printable icons, add artwork you have permission to use, and arrange the pieces in the 2D workspace. A live 3D preview shows the raised design and base together, and Print Check helps identify details that may need attention before you continue.
- Download a correctly scaled STL for a standard printing workflow.
- Download a colour-aware 3MF when you want registered colour parts in one file.
- Print the design on your own compatible 3D printer, or save a private production copy and use its O3D reference with the matching Etsy order.
Free to use, private by default
The designer is free to use and does not require a customer account. Drafts, uploaded artwork preparation, previews, print checks, and personal downloads are handled in your browser. Nothing is sent to Oceantide3D just because you selected a file or tried a design.
If you want Oceantide3D to produce the finished item, the separate Save for Etsy action lets you consent to a temporary private production copy. The saved package contains the processed contours and printable files needed for the order—not the original image file or raw SVG markup.
This is only the beginning
Oceantide3D is starting with personalized keychains and tags, but this launch is the beginning of the project rather than the finish line. There are more ideas in the pipeline, and over time we hope to improve the design experience, add useful customization options, and explore other practical creation tools.
Those decisions should be shaped by the people actually using the designer.
